David has over twenty-five years of experience in a diversified background of financial planning, investment oversight, estate planning, philanthropic planning, foundation administration, trust administration, corporate finance and real estate. He graduated from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business in Los Angeles, California where he earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree specializing in finance and investments. He also achieved the Chartered Financial Consultant® (ChFC®) designation from The American College of Financial Services.
As a Certified Kingdom Advisor® (CKA®), biblically-wise financial advice is an important pillar in his practice. David also earned a bachelor’s degree from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), The National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and the Fee-Only Network.
Outside of work, David enjoys traveling, outdoor activities and spending time with his beloved wife and their three children.
Mario Nardone’s investment career began at Vanguard, where he consulted institutions and financial advisors on investment policy, portfolio construction, Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs) and trading strategies for a decade.
His firm, East Bay Financial Services, provides investment management and consulting services for financial planners, nonprofits and institutions around the world. Through East Bay Financial Services, he leads the XYIS Investment Committee and provides day-to-day investment support to Sound Investment Management, LLC.
A Chartered Financial Analyst® since 2003, Mario is the former president of CFA Society South Carolina, as well as a current member of the CFA Institute and Financial Planning Association. His approach to investments and the industry has been featured in Investment News, NAPFA Advisor Magazine, Charleston Regional Business Journal, The Post & Courier and The Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal.
